How very sad. It looks like Kiri may have been part of a group until his/her environment was disturbed by the dam builders. It would have been fascinating to know how s/he was treated by his/her original family.

I keep wondering. It’s sadly ingrained deep inside our heads to rejecting anything, anybody who dares to be different. May be it’s insecurities.
