Reflections

I visited Varanasi last year and clicked this picture during my boat ride across the river Ganges. There was something about these shivering reflections that stayed with me all this time and today, when I began to write my first Haiku, this image was all I could think of.

Two reflections

shivering in the river –

the moon’s overshadowed by the lighthouse’s.

While my original intention behind it was something different, it has been heart-warming to hear various beautiful interpretations to it from my friends. Feel free to share yours in the comment section.

  1. The photograph and the poem displayed on this blog post together offer us another kind of reflection that is as mystical as it is luminous. Thank you for revealing the light of your consciousness. Sat Nam and many blessings!
