Reflections

I visited Varanasi last year and clicked this picture during my boat ride across the river Ganges. There was something about these shivering reflections that stayed with me all this time and today, when I began to write my first Haiku, this image was all I could think of.

Two reflections

shivering in the river –

the moon’s overshadowed by the lighthouse’s.

While my original intention behind it was something different, it has been heart-warming to hear various beautiful interpretations to it from my friends. Feel free to share yours in the comment section.
